Pros
Money - you got paid very handsomely for the word you did. You could pretty much walk in the door dictating your salary if you had the experience to back it up. Relaxed dress code most of the time.
Cons
Poor management. Sometimes we were managed by people that had never did our job. How can you crack the whip on people when you don't even know what the job entails? I survived 3 layoffs. Very tense and unstable environment. All levels of workers were micromanaged: loan origination, processing, underwriting, cross sale, etc.
