Then there are those who only care about their own careers. These are the managers that do not care about work/life balance. They want their numbers to look good, so instead they treat you as a robot. You must work 8am to 5pm no exceptions, you must account for every second of every day that you work no exceptions. They don't know how to manage people, they just want to manage the numbers.
