Working independently managing your own schedule with minimal supervision and working with diverse staff. Flexible day includes various types of client appointments making it more interesting. Management very understanding when personal issues come up. Rewarding in helping challenged adults to find meaningful, rewarding employment. Friendly and warm working environment.
Cons
Company is not progressive or modern, nor open to trying to incorporate new technologies, when suggested, to aid employees or clients. Other competitive companies are finding grants etc. to enable funding for such technologies, yet Sunrise won't consider trying new innovative programs or technologies to keep current with the times. They also do not reimburse fuel at the rate recommended by the IRS for employee reimbursement (employees use own vehicles at approx 1,000 miles per month). There is no middle supervision between employment specialists and Director of employment services, thus many issues are not properly addressed as the Director hasn't enough time.
