Pros
Holidays and vacation time. Clinicians are amazing
Cons
People are put into management positions (promoted from within) with the intent to save the company money. Slow to hire replacement staff- most likely you will be trying to do the job of 2-3 people. Some individuals in management positions are grossly under qualified and do not have experience working with our demographic, or with mental health specifically, therefore, they do not understand the needs of the individuals. This leads to clinician frustration in attempting to support the individual in the best evidenced-based way. There are people in counseling positions, treating clients, who have not completed their AA degree. Sunrise is all about the money- quantity of billable hours, not the quality of care being given. Highly suspect and shady ethics in order to save a buck. All these “positive” reviews for Sunrise are most likely either from managers, trying to improve the company rating in order to persuade potential employees to apply, or, the positive reviews were left by a former admin to upper management with the intent to boost Sunrise’s rating. Do yourself a favor - do your own investigation before you accept a position here. Empower yourself to get your own letters of reference about Sunrise. Call the department you are considering working for, and ask the current employees about job satisfaction, working conditions, and how effective management is. Decide for yourself! Good luck
