Pros
For the first few months I was in love! Lynn is a super lady and excellent leader and visionary. I've devoted my career to the industry and Sunrun seemed like the place to be, at first. The overall vibe is very good and they have some super people who work very hard and have a great attitude. Their fleet operations management is excellent.
Cons
Unfortunately they've hired and retained some really bad management in Engineering & Product Management. Despite a ton of negative feedback on Employee Satisfaction Surveys (mine and others I talked to), the same toxic people are still there doing the same things six months after I left. This has led me to believe that upper management doesn't care as long as the trains run on time. They have lost a lot of good people and they seem to be rationalizing it instead fixing the problems. I'm amazed at the amount of negative feedback on this site, considering the apparent state of denial (or apathy) of upper management. Do they read any of this stuff??? You wouldn't know it from working there. Lynn once said in an all hands (paraphrased) -- "You may notice a lot of people leaving the company. What we're doing is hard. Some people will burn out." Well, I have to say that management there is intentionally making it harder than it has to be and they're losing a lot of good people as a direct result.
