Pros

Good exposure to global teams and markets, especially US HQ Exposure to new and cutting-edge technologies, especially related to AI Opportunity to work with major industry players plus smaller solution partners OK WLB but depends on your team/department Above average employee welfare benefits for Taiwan Spacious and relatively new facilities in Taiwan Stock plan for employees depending on seniority Overall good job stability/security

Cons

Despite being a US company, the management style leans towards Taiwan style, even at the US HQ Very strict attendance policy, no flexibility on working hours, no remote/hybrid work Parking at the Bade campus is limited and expensive, even though there are no public transport options nearby Slow development and promotion progress

Pros

I have enjoyed working in the Supermicro IT & DataCenter infrastructure group. It's an exciting opportunity to be directly involved in some of the most impactful trends in the industry, including AI infrastructure, liquid cooling, high-density computing, and next-generation data center design. As an IT Director focused on Applications and data center infrastructure, I have been able to work with talented, dedicated engineers and business leaders to meet complex customer requirements. The company moves quickly, embraces innovation, and provides opportunities to make meaningful contributions rather than getting lost in layers of bureaucracy.

Cons

The pace can be demanding, and priorities sometimes shift as the business continues to grow rapidly. There are times when processes, tools, and organizational structures are still catching up to the company's expansion. Success often requires flexibility, a willingness to take ownership, and the ability to navigate ambiguity. Employees who prefer highly structured environments and clearly defined boundaries may find the pace challenging.
