Pros

Maybe the free fruit and pastries. The cafeteria lunch food is decent and affordable.

Cons

Hmmm..where do I start? There’s so many problems and issues that I don’t have time to list them all. But here are the main ones: 1.) Too much politics and favoritism. Hard to get promoted or get a raise if you are not buddy buddy with managers. 2.) Gossip. People gossip and talk behind people’s back all the time here. Hard to trust anyone. Be careful who you pass information too, next thing you know people might start talking bad about you 3.) Please speak English. We in America. I understand it’s a Chinese dominant company but come on...people who don’t speak Chinese will feel left out and it’s disrespectful. 4.) Process is chaotic. Always changing processes. One day a new process is implemented , next day it changes, and when it changes its never clear or it never gets explained properly. 5.) Not sure if this is true..but there’s been rumors, of course, people involved in infidelity stuff that happens in the workplace. Not exactly a good thing to hear about at work. 6.) Turnover. Never seen so much turnover before. On average, employee in this department last about 6-7 months. Due to all the reasons listed above and more. 7.) I’ll stop here for now...the list goes on and on.

Pros

I have enjoyed working in the Supermicro IT & DataCenter infrastructure group. It's an exciting opportunity to be directly involved in some of the most impactful trends in the industry, including AI infrastructure, liquid cooling, high-density computing, and next-generation data center design. As an IT Director focused on Applications and data center infrastructure, I have been able to work with talented, dedicated engineers and business leaders to meet complex customer requirements. The company moves quickly, embraces innovation, and provides opportunities to make meaningful contributions rather than getting lost in layers of bureaucracy.

Cons

The pace can be demanding, and priorities sometimes shift as the business continues to grow rapidly. There are times when processes, tools, and organizational structures are still catching up to the company's expansion. Success often requires flexibility, a willingness to take ownership, and the ability to navigate ambiguity. Employees who prefer highly structured environments and clearly defined boundaries may find the pace challenging.
