Pros

The working environment is top notch. Management goes out of its way to make every employee feel like SupplyHouse is their home away from home. The company provides great working conditions from paid breakfasts/lunches, team outings, in house yoga classes, and more. SupplyHouse truly values employee happiness and goes above and beyond your average company to ensure employees feel good about coming to work. The company provides quarterly check ins, and bi-annual reviews to let each employee know exactly which areas they are doing well, and suggestions on areas they can improve. Management is open and honest and treats all employees with respect regardless of their position or tenure with the company. Each employee is given the opportunity to showcase their abilities, and are rewarded for hard work. As the company continues to grow it will open the door for even more opportunities. There is a reason it was named one of the Best Companies to Work For in New York in 2016.

Cons

Due to the nature of the business, the company has a cyclical busy season and "slow" season. Because of this, management needs to be cautious about over-hiring. Some roles can get overwhelmed during the peak of the busy season. On the bright side, the company has a culture of making sure everyone feels they can ask for help. Everyone in the company is rooting for one another to succeed in their assigned role, and willing to help you do just that.

Pros

Mostly great coworkers in the warehouse. You can get a lot of hours. Unintentional weightlifting gains.

Cons

They pretend that harassment (racial, sexual, and otherwise) doesn’t happen to their employees and will try to get you in trouble if you talk about it. Promotions are given to people the managers are friends with, not to high performers. Workloads are not split evenly and friends of the managers will get easier days (such as multi B carts which allow you to get your lines (numbers that measure work) very quickly when picking, as opposed to pallets which are often HUGE items or massive amounts of product and have you literally running across their hot warehouse all day). Frequently sexist assignments (women not assigned certain areas). Firing people so fast that they need name tags because they didn’t even know their name yet. Racist comments (ie. making fun of Nepali coworkers) are apparently a fine thing to say. Someone telling you they jacked it in the bathroom to you is apparently also fine. If you’re receiving the water heaters, you will need to frequently lift them over your head by yourself for hours (expect injuries and often). No AC.
