Pros
At first being in IT was great there! The team welcomed me in, including teaching me to play ping pong. We would go out to lunch regularly as a team which included lunch beers with the boss & teammates. Superbowl 2018 my boss even had a Superbowl party with strippers and had a few of the team members over.
Cons
Then the new COO came into the picture and everything changed, my boss fell to the stress that the COO unnecessarily put on him and the job ended up far from what it was before. I ended up getting fired with 0 warnings, i had monthly reviews with 0 verbal complaints, only rave reviews! I was told that the COO was afraid that with me being in IT, that i have access to too much to give a warning to, that i might do something against the company, which ANYONE that knows me knows that this would never happen. That sets a VERY terrible precedent for anyone in IT at Surya. ONE little mistake that normally would not even matter and you're outta there! Insurance sucks, raises are maxed at 5% (You'll never get 5%), turnover is huge.
