Real fundraisers would never work here - Executive Director Susan G. Komen Employee Review

Pros

They overpay for unqualified staff and hire their friends into leadership roles.

Cons

The culture is toxic and very little money raised actually supports people with breast cancer. The organization is a pyramid scam that tricks people into registering for their “Races”. If participants knew how much money was wasted by unqualified staff they would never support Komen again. Leadership and advancement is based on cronyism and anyone with fundraising skill moves on pretty quick. Embarrassing to have Komen on a resume
