Pros

Consultants on my level are nice to speak with on the job food stalls are nearby 5 minutes walk I quit my job to run my own business, I never have to look another job again :) be your own boss Sutherland recently came with a canteen where breakfast and lunch can be bought

Cons

Low pay I got paid $400 USD per month before taxes and yet still I am assisting a lot of customers monthly and handling over $100,000 USD in company revenue making customers happy Bad managers, I was sick and could not call in 1 day, I brought in a sick letter from my doctor to explain I was in the hospital and could not contact, they did not pay me If you use the bathroom, Sutherland deducts the bathroom time from out of my pay check Strick rules and schedules to follow and zero work life balance or consideration. Vacation is hard to get, I had to wait 2 months for approval was made Vacation does not roll over yearly, if it is not taken in the 1 year, you also do not get paid I need to ask permission to use the bathroom and am given strict times to get back My pay checks are usually entered wrong in the system and is short by several hundred dollars at times, this also happens to other staff members. We would always be told to wait till next pay cycle for them to fix their mistake Managers dont consider those who have Children and family, a lady had her child sports day to attend and my manager said she could not get the day off because she has to protect the company best interest. The consultant had put in her request 2 weeks in advance, so sad The managers and upper level management do not care to raise the pay despite inflation on the rise. I have handled up to $10,000 USD in 1 day and it take me 2 years to make that kind of money before tax at Sutherland, my health has suffered a whole lot working under strict schedules rules. I have gained a lot of weight because of the stressful environment The breakfast and lunch provided costs more money than I am paid in 1 hour of work, I probably bought food twice, never after that

Pros

Remote work and great coworkers

Cons

Extremely low pay for the amount of work and the type of calls that you have to deal with. Lots of mircomanaging. Unrealistic metrics. Lack of knowledge and competency from leadership because at no point should your workers know more than you about the job itself. No care for unforseen life circumstances that affect your ability to work. Very stressful and mentally exhausting which often leads to burnout. No recognition for hard work and meeting metric goals. Too hard to get PTO approved. Tech and internal systems are always breaking which affects your ability to do your job. No one is ever on the same page which often leads to being given incorrect information. No room for growth or opportunities to go into other roles. Benefits are not that great. Mid health insurance plans, no 401K match, no parental leave, and no internet reimbursements. They'll sell you a fairytale in training so BEWARE.
