Pros

I joined during covid pandemic situation so the company provided work from home . the work environment and team are good. Everyone was nice. salary was given right on time.

Cons

Most of the jobs here are night shifts. I know it's not a big deal & every BPO companies does this but you will only get client holidays . You will have to work on all our holidays. Sometimes if you are unlucky of some uncertain misfortune in the process you are working you may even have to work on those client holidays (although it's very rare). In IT BPO field its all about the process. If you are lucky you will get easy process of good client without much hectic work or work pressure or target ( which was for me for more than 1 year) & if you are unlucky you may get tough process of target oriented clients (i was moved to new process of new client after 1 year which was the main reason i resigned. The process was very tough and lengthy. The client was giving us unrealistic target with a short span of time. Though this was an occassionally rare scenario but this happened and we were getting target pressure for completing n number of files in a day. The team was struggling to complete half the target in a day even after working extra overtime hours which sutherland will not provide any incentives).

Pros

Remote work and great coworkers

Cons

Extremely low pay for the amount of work and the type of calls that you have to deal with. Lots of mircomanaging. Unrealistic metrics. Lack of knowledge and competency from leadership because at no point should your workers know more than you about the job itself. No care for unforseen life circumstances that affect your ability to work. Very stressful and mentally exhausting which often leads to burnout. No recognition for hard work and meeting metric goals. Too hard to get PTO approved. Tech and internal systems are always breaking which affects your ability to do your job. No one is ever on the same page which often leads to being given incorrect information. No room for growth or opportunities to go into other roles. Benefits are not that great. Mid health insurance plans, no 401K match, no parental leave, and no internet reimbursements. They'll sell you a fairytale in training so BEWARE.
