Pros

There are NO PROS at all.

Cons

I had worked at this place for less than 6 months in 2020 (during the COVID pandemic time) and I resigned without doing notice period just because I really had a very horrible and awful experience. Almost nothing was up to the mark. Bad shift timings, depressing work environment and there was a lack of hygiene almost everywhere in that congested office. Even the cafetaria was not corporate-level. Rather than first focusing on all these things, Sutherland used to unnecessarily over-emphasize on COVID safety protocols at the expense of their employees' convenience. To be honest, they were the bad things. The worse things were the attitudes of the HR's and my manager. Shikha and Vandana were the HR's for my process and both were not employee-friendly because they didn't even understand my concerns most of the times. I couldn't even easily approach them most of the times in person and whenever I used to call them or text them, 8 out of 10 times I couldn't reach them. Manohar was my manager and he didn't even care about me and most of his team members. Unnecessary micro-monitoring was implemented during my very short tenure. Favouritism shown towards some senior employees was also common here. I would compare it to something like nepotism. Sutherland was full of politics and biased policies. Coming to the salary part, it was just average. During 2020 (after the first COVID wave), I had received offers from far better companies too, and so I strongly realised later that joining Sutherland was a very poor decision. I know it's a very very late rating and review but this is the actual truth. I can't hide it. Even till today, when anyone even just asks me about Sutherland, I would stop them immediately and say "NO" with a raised voice.

Pros

Remote work and great coworkers

Cons

Extremely low pay for the amount of work and the type of calls that you have to deal with. Lots of mircomanaging. Unrealistic metrics. Lack of knowledge and competency from leadership because at no point should your workers know more than you about the job itself. No care for unforseen life circumstances that affect your ability to work. Very stressful and mentally exhausting which often leads to burnout. No recognition for hard work and meeting metric goals. Too hard to get PTO approved. Tech and internal systems are always breaking which affects your ability to do your job. No one is ever on the same page which often leads to being given incorrect information. No room for growth or opportunities to go into other roles. Benefits are not that great. Mid health insurance plans, no 401K match, no parental leave, and no internet reimbursements. They'll sell you a fairytale in training so BEWARE.
