Pros
Most staff were kind, and the unit manager was frankly great.
Cons
I was shamed in front of a patient by the charge nurse for repeatedly calling the assigned physician to re-evaluate a patient, who was suffering from fairly severe respiratory distress. The physician had complained to the charge nurse that I was "annoying" her and that she was "very busy," and the charge nurse relayed this information in an insulting way literally at my patient's doorstep, which enraged the patient and worsened their respiratory issues. The senior nurse I took report from was very concerned about this patient as well, and they had checked in more often than the physician. I quit shortly after this extremely unprofessional incident. Ironic how Swedish encourages nurses to speak up, but we get stamped down when we have a concern about our patients' wellbeing. Unrelated, but some colleagues were extremely gossipy and would actively avoid or shirk nursing duties.
