Pros

You are never bored! There’s always lots of work and they will train you to do basically anything you want at the firm. They promote often if you do your job well. Just be vocal about what you want and set goals for yourself and they will work with you.

Cons

They are a growing firm and are still working out a lot of kinks/personnel. If someone else leaves the firm everyone else has to pick up the slack.

Pros

I feel very valued at Sweet James. I'm not micro-managed and I am able to work at my own pace and I have trust from upper management. Additionally, the technology Sweet James implements helps me be a better attorney and operate at a higher volume while still maintaining my clients

Cons

Wish there were more PTO days and Holidays off

Pros

Good snacks. Some coworkers were supportive, but that was not enough to offset the instability.

Cons

At the Irvine office, my experience was that recruiting and onboarding were not transparent. The job was presented as a solid opportunity, but the reality felt very different once inside. The environment was highly micromanaged, with very little autonomy in daily work. PTO also felt very limited, at about 5 vacation days and 5 holidays per year. The biggest issue was the hiring process. In my experience, new hires were brought in regularly, often in groups of around 5 to 10 at a time, even when there did not appear to be confirmed placement on actual teams. Some people were kept in an in-between area for weeks or months without a clear path forward. Internally, this created a very discouraging atmosphere. From what I observed, only a small number of those hires ultimately made it onto teams, while many others were let go after leaving other jobs to come here. The recruiting process also felt overly aggressive. Even after making it clear that was currently employed, there was continued pressure to move quickly, which gave the impression that the opportunity was more secure than it turned out to be. HR errors were also frustrating and difficult to resolve.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We take feedback seriously, but we also want to clarify several inaccuracies in your review. Our PTO and holiday offerings are clearly defined, communicated during the hiring process, and consistently applied across the organization. The figures mentioned here do not reflect our actual policy. We also strive to maintain transparency throughout recruiting and onboarding. Candidates are provided with detailed information about roles, expectations, and placement processes so they can make informed decisions. While onboarding timelines can vary depending on business needs and project alignment, we work actively to place employees as efficiently as possible and keep them informed along the way. If we find a Case Manager doesn't have the experience needed for high value cases, training and team assignment timelines will vary. Additional training is provided to junior or entry level Case Managers to better equip them to handle clients, which may result in a revised team assignment timeline. Regarding workplace environment, we aim to provide structure and support while still encouraging autonomy as employees grow into their roles. Experiences can vary, but our goal is always to create a professional and positive setting for our team. We remain committed to continuously improving our processes and appreciate constructive, accurate feedback that helps us do so. We wish you the best moving forward. Thank you.
