Pros
Adorable kiddos taking swim lessons and interacting with them in the lobby was always the highlight. Super busy so days typically move quickly and there's lots to do. Younger staff presents a fun work environment. It's a growing company (this location is not part of the franchise) so there's a lot of room for input and contributions for how to make it better.
Cons
Very high expectations in contrast to mediocre hourly pay. Ownership does not know how to manage a team at a distance. Lots of blame getting shoved off onto GM. Extremely overworked GM = things fall through the cracks a lot Lack of professionalism in many ways, huge problem with employee retention, some really nasty clients yet we were beholden to the threat of a bad Yelp or Google review. While there is room for employee input and taking initiative, this may not always be met with acknowledgement or reward from management.
