Pros
the organization provides healthcare services to the lower socioeconomic citizens as well as the homeless. I get to work with people and that's a great feeling.
Cons
the problem I see is that there are too many people who have been there for years and years and are very complacent. They don't want to change anything even if it's for the better. Perhaps if the management were held accountable for outcomes in there department maybe things would be different. I work hard and take my job very seriously, yet I really have never felt that I've fit into my department and I've been here over 5 years. The PTO accruement policy does not help morale either. If your just starting out you practically burn yourself out just to take some time off, but if you've been here for years and years you have more hours than you know what to do with. So those employees take a lot of time off, leaving the work load to the rest of us.
