While the "company culture" is great, there are certain Dilbert cliches that hurt the "productivity culture". Lots of meetings and lots of "because of compliance" moments even every week.
Hard to say these can be avoided since finance is such a regulated industry. They really do try to make it painless and I do think they earnestly try to make it as easy as possible. I think this is more about your personality vs reality of working in finance and this is intended as more of a "not a big deal for me, but certainly not for everyone" comment.
