Pros

Symphony Talent will lure you in with promises of work-life balance, unlimited PTO and flexible hours. In reality, unlimited PTO is only for a few employees who actually get to take it, and managements expectation is that employees work 70+ hours the week before and after they take PTO. Flexible hours? That means meetings scheduled at 10pm. Obviously, there is no balance.

Cons

Management is solely focused on getting new business. Not keeping or growing current clients, not figuring out how to staff for new business. They will work employees until they break. Talent is leaving the organization in droves and management doesn’t care.

We appreciate the feedback - transparency is at the heart of our core values, specifically #BeAnOpenBook. It's fair to say that some of the facts you've laid out are accurate - we offer unlimited PTO to our US salaried teams and flexible hours and are focused on connecting brands and talent which drives new business and growth. But in living our core values, let me say: #CelebrateEachOther: Our global teams drive our success – we value and respect all of our relationships - and as needed we can participate in meetings/calls during non-traditional work hours. Our team in Bangalore many times take calls during their evenings while our US teams can attend calls early. We all work in different time zones, encourage remote work settings throughout the US because we believe in team flexibility so we can enjoy life while working with a global team. Having said that, unlimited paid time off (US only) comes with a lot of responsibility and trust. Some teams have excelled with this perk, while others are learning from others to ensure the right communication, planning and back-ups are in place. Our Content Marketing Team, for example, is a huge ambassador of this success. At Symphony Talent, we provide a recognition portal for our employees to acknowledge their peers and our Content Marketing team regularly recognizes their teams for their back-up coverage while enjoying time off. As we grow, all employees and teams are encouraged to share best practices with each other so we can all reset and return with renewed energy and knowledge to share with others. #FocusOnTalent
