Pros

Everyone will agree that the mission of Syndio and the pay equity that they've helped their clients achieve in the past few years is incredible and something anyone would want to help contribute to. The mission and the impact are undeniable.

Cons

One of the most glaring issues plaguing Syndio is the constant shifting of goals and priorities at the hand of leadership, which has created a sense of instability and confusion among employees. This lack of consistency has not only hindered productivity but has also bred resentment and disillusionment among the workforce. The majority of folks at Syndio don't like working there but are stuck because the compensation is hard to beat. Perhaps most troubling is the toxic environment that has taken root within Syndio, fueled by the leadership team's lack of experience, indecisiveness and inability to address underlying issues. Disagreements, issues and conflicts are swept under the rug, allowing resentment to fester and ultimately poison the workplace atmosphere. Instead of fostering collaboration and camaraderie, the leadership's failure to confront these issues head-on has only served to exacerbate tensions and create an intense sense of frustration and stress. The company is FULL of great people with huge brains and honest intentions but the lack of a seasoned leadership team or an HR leader who represents the employees has created a company you do not want to work for. I repeat - - - you do not want to work here. Unless you really do and in that case good luck.

Pros

Syndio has a strong mission, talented people, and a culture built around collaboration and respect. There is a real opportunity to help define an emerging category, which makes the work feel meaningful and impactful. People care deeply about customers, and there is a willingness to invest in new ideas and challenge conventional thinking.

Cons

Like many growth-stage companies, priorities can shift quickly as the business evolves. Balancing long-term product investments with near-term growth objectives can create changing priorities and occasional ambiguity. Success requires comfort with change and a willingness to adapt.

Pros

The ranks are full of smart, kind people doing their best. Access to modern AI engineering tooling.

Cons

Fickle leadership. Chasing a new shiny thing after selling something else (that still isn't finished). Constant restructuring – there are leadership changes every month. Poor execution. Ship dates slip again and again without reflection or retrospectives. Delusional positivity from leaders in the face of a failing business. Flooded with AI slop. Celebrates churning out AI-generated documents that no one reads. Lack of transparency. Leadership is secretive with important information (financials, operations, staffing changes). A large influx of people with prior relationships has worsened this.
