Pros

Working at T-Mobile has been a transformative journey for me, starting as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) and evolving into a coach for Sales Development Representatives. This experience has not only honed my professional skills but has also significantly shaped me as an individual. As an SDR, I was immersed in the fast-paced world of sales, where every call and interaction was an opportunity to make an impact. T-Mobile's dynamic environment provided the perfect platform for me to learn the intricacies of sales, from prospecting to closing deals. The constant challenges pushed me to continuously improve and innovate in my approach. I learned to effectively communicate the value of our products and services, adapt to different customer needs, and overcome objections with confidence. I also had the honor of being selected to record a video sharing my journey and insights into the Sales Development Representative (SDR) role at Career Fest it was an honor that I deeply appreciated. It provided me with a platform to not only showcase my experiences but also to inspire others who are considering or embarking on a similar career path. Moreover, T-Mobile's emphasis on a customer-centric approach instilled in me the importance of building genuine relationships and providing personalized solutions. This not only enhanced my sales performance but also fostered a sense of empathy and understanding towards customers. Transitioning into a role as a coach for Sales Development Representatives marked a significant milestone in my career journey. It allowed me to leverage my experience and expertise to mentor and guide new recruits. This role was not just about imparting knowledge but also about fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team. As a coach, I learned the importance of effective leadership and communication. I had to adapt my coaching style to cater to the unique strengths and weaknesses of each individual, while also fostering a sense of teamwork and collaboration. This required patience, empathy, and the ability to provide constructive feedback in a supportive manner. Also, as a coach, being chosen out of thousands to record a video with T-Mobile Studios to spotlight T-Mobile for Business Sales Development for the career site as well as many other platforms was an extraordinary privilege that left a profound impact on me. It was not only a recognition of my contributions but also an opportunity to showcase the innovative and dynamic work environment fostered within T-Mobile. Moreover, being responsible for the growth and success of my team instilled in me a sense of accountability and dedication. I realized that my actions and decisions had a direct impact on the performance and morale of my team members. This responsibility motivated me to strive for excellence and lead by example. Beyond professional growth, my journey at T-Mobile has also profoundly influenced my personal development. The challenges and experiences I encountered have strengthened my resilience, perseverance, and adaptability. I've learned to embrace change, navigate uncertainty, and thrive in challenging environments. Overall, my experience at T-Mobile, from being an SDR to a coach, has molded me into a more confident, empathetic, and skilled professional. It has equipped me with the tools and mindset to overcome obstacles, inspire others, and drive results. I am immensely grateful for the opportunities and experiences I've had and look forward to continuing my journey of growth and development.

Cons

The only Con is not knowing where to go next as there are so many directions you can take... I will retire at T-Mobile!

Pros

Training and "green days" to work on training courses online, team activities for teambuilding, excellent benefits including up to a 10% yearly bonus (merit-based), tuition reimbursement, extra insurance options besides health insurance (pet insurance, free life insurance up to 1.5x yearly salary), stock purchase options and yearly stock award to each employee. One of my favorite benefits is job swaps - so long as your manager clears it, you can swap jobs with an employee from another related department for up to a couple months to gain insight and experience into what the other department does from day to day. I left my last company as it had become a bad environment, and after joining with T-Mobile I realized it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. There are very few days where I wake up not wanting to go to work, and I learn something new every day. When I come across a process I'm not familiar with, my teammates are more than happy to provide on-the-spot training, or schedule a time that works for both of us to do so. Above all, the managers set you up to succeed rather than to fail - they want you to do well, and do everything in their power to make sure you have the tools to do well.

Cons

There's some of the same political bs that any company has, but my team has two excellent managers that make work enjoyable. There are a couple personality issues within the team, as happens with any job, but overall everyone gets along. As far as training goes, there wasn't a whole ton initially (though I believe it's more due to the nature of the job - it's impossible to condense everything into a couple week training course).

Thanks so much for taking the time to write this -- we love hearing how much you love coming to work! Your words were spot on when you said your team wants you to "do well". That's exactly what we want for all of our team members! The nature of our business is constantly changing and we know how important it is to provide good benefits and equip you with the training and development you need to be successful. We're glad you're taking full advantage of all of it. As we continue to grow and evolve, so will our training and tools. If you ever feel like you're not getting enough of what you need, though, talk it over with your manager and they'll help you get back on track. Thanks again for your feedback and your dedication to T-Mobile. -- T-Mobile Careers Team
