Pros

It's a good place to get your foot in the door, I wouldn't recommend it to someone not interested in pursuing the industry. You earn a little more than McDonalds, but are required to buy your own tools (hence previous statement). As far as aviation jobs are concerned, it's easy work. You're inside and the work isn't super challenging. You're (relatively) free to move around laterally and learn a lot. Coworkers are generally fine, immediate supervisors fine, anything beyond that is hit or miss. Be content on your starting pay rate, you probably won't get more. Turnover complaint is legitimate. There are a lot of 20+ year veterans that can teach you a lot, and a bunch of new guys. Not much in-between. You'll pick up nuances within a week of starting. Oh, if you're the last in your department, you can choose your own job title.

Cons

Limited long term opportunities Stagnant pay

Pros

Great opportunity for learning different aviation components.

Cons

Low pay long hours can be stressful. Very gossip culture by far worse then any job I’ve experienced. Experience is less valuable then favoritism working here.
