Pros

Social Committee activities. Hybrid schedule (work in the office for 2 days and at home for 3 days). RRSP match-up. The people are nice.

Cons

No possibility of advancement. They don't recognize your talent or potential. If you're good at your position, they will most likely leave you there forever so you can never have a chance to advance in your career. They brag about all their accomplishments and profit every year, but the company is actually really cheap. Annual raise is not even equivalent to the cost of living increase. They waste everyone's time by forcing us to fill up the annual objectives (Performance Excellence Process) and it just goes nowhere. No matter how hard you've worked that year, you will only get that small 1%-2.5% increase, some even got none. Favouritism is played in certain department. They close a blind eye on some worker who doesn't do much just because they are friends' with. If you don't have kids or a dog to feed at home, expect to always be the one to be asked to stay behind. Ask for overtime and make you feel bad if you're not available. The management are not very professional. The HR takes forever to answer any emails and have no connection nor any interest to know any staff. You are only allowed an unpaid 30 mins lunch break for the entire day. No breaks in between. They only give you 2 paid sick days per year. YES, you've heard it right 2 ONLY!! They insurance benefit package is poor, not much coverage. No bonus.

Pros

As a company they were open to making improvements to help with day-to-day tasks and streamlining processes. There was room for growth, but it can be difficult with some managers' biases. Salary increases were annual, but for a true raise you really need look for this promotion opportunities. Benefits were good though, and the cultural dynamic was generally positive.

Cons

I saw this mainly in the AR and AP teams, but both had the habit of finding the "star" employee on the team and building their skills up which ultimately left the other team members less qualified and the star overworked.
