Pros
- Sales rally is always a good time - If you're one of the few people that want's zero personal life, then this company is for you -There are some great people in this company and you can make some great friends. It can be a fun company to work for, however with current leadership its going to continue to decline.
Cons
I’m going to break this down for you layer by layer. Chief Layer - Other than the President of the company none of the chiefs are qualified for the positions they are in. They have all retained their jobs based on their personal relationship with their leadership. Like a never ending college party for the “boys club”. Thanks Mommy and Daddy. GM Layer - In my opinion one the most worthless and over compensated positions within the entire company. This group of individuals thinks about nobody other than themselves. They provide false hope and lie to keep hard working individuals employed and hopeful the company will make right for them. They do not hold their teams accountable, nor do they take the time to address concerns brought to their attention about their teams. Director Layer – The second most overpaid position within the company. This layer has zero impact on the overall success of the districts they cover. Majority of them lead by “fear and intimidation” while the other half leads by “hopes and dreams” of having a great “culture”. The layer is a joke and the company would be better off taking their $100K + salaries and “making it rain” at their local strip club. At least then the money would be impacting people’s lives. Market Manager Layer – The most underpaid and overworked position within this company. This layer is constantly under fire by all layers of leadership. The sales teams need to drive incremental revenue, handle all HR concerns, recruit, interview, and staff up locations. The Ops side needs to control items that are uncontrollable, execute fire drill after fire drill in unrealistic time frames, try to hold people accountable who don’t report to them on items that are “not that important” in the eyes of their sales counterparts. All of this while driving their vehicles into the ground for a lousy $200 a month. News flash, $200 barely covers the cost of oil changes, let alone tires, and other maintenance!! Store Manager Layer – The layer that has the least amount of responsibility, yet ironically feels the most entitled. They need to have everything done for them, and never want to own up to their mistakes. They have one major responsibility and that’s to “coach” their teams, yet it rarely happens. Sales Associate Layer – The second most crapped on layer of the company behind the Market Managers. This poor group of individuals is asked to sell tablets, Hum, Ready Go, Platinum Pass, utilize Phobio, and sell more new smartphones. All for $5.00 per hour. WOW! I feel more and more sorry for them every day! Bonus Feedback – Culture of Good ¬– From the outside looking in, one may think to themselves “wow it’s really nice that a company is willing to give backpacks away to underprivileged families, or additional school supplies to teachers in need. But that sad truth is it’s nothing more than a “smoke in mirrors” ploy to gain Uncle Scotty more money. Culture of Good (trade marked) is nothing more then a profiting business.
