Pros
I got along with my boss. Other than that I want to say if you see anything else in this box that isn't "I got along with my coworkers" ie.. something really positive about the company then you know it is a fake review. I used to be able to read through the glass door reviews and pick through the ones fairly easily that were obviously put up by TCC however there are so many negative reviews nowadays you'd have to look pretty far back to find them.
Cons
I don't know where to start. I'll start with me. I worked for 7 years for a large premium retailer. I was their second most senior employee left in the company. I was loved respected and trusted by the owner and all of management. I started as a representative (with this company) and worked my way up to store management. I had a knack for turning around poor sales teams so for the last couple of years I was with the company I would move from state to state and take over troubled stores and fix them. I was then promoted to district manager and basically was put in charge of running all of Maryland. 6 months later, Moorehead Communications / TCC came in and bought up the retailer. They put us all in a big room and told us that nobody was going to lose our job. That we would be given PTO based on our time with the company, they offered us comparable positions with TCC and what worked out to be similar pay to what I was making. At this meeting, they expressed to us that they knew that we were frightened and didn't know what to expect but asked us to give them six months to see what a great company they were and they promised that we would be more than happy and want to work with them. I believe now that they did this so that there would not be a mass Exodus when they took over the retailer. I don't believe they ever had any intention of keeping any of us as none of us are still there anymore. I would like to say slowly but surely they started to replace everybody with Legacy employees. One day my boss calls me up and tells me that the following week I'm going to have to reapply for my position along with all of my peers. At this point in time, speaking of my peers, I had the top performing team in my district. One of my stores alone was up 180% year-over-year. All of the market managers had to reapply for their positions. Which is code for a we need to get rid of the old employees from the other company. When I was let go I was told I would be receiving a month-and-a-half severance pay along with all of my outstanding PTO. They went back on that. I saw a fraction of that severance and they refused to pay out my PTO that they had promised me. Subsequently to me being let go. A few months later the entire position of market manager went away. The market managers that were left were given their choice of store to run as store manager. The store managers in the stores were busted down to Representatives or fired in the stores where the market managers decided they were going to land as managers. Subsequent to my not being rehired, there has been 4 compensation changes. I know this as some of my team as well as my wife still works for the company. It is hard enough in sales to make a budget for your household due to fluctuating income.. It becomes impossible when you have to deal with constant compensation changes. This company also doesn't take cost of living into account. They are a very large retailer spanning from coast to coast yet their pay scale is the same in every state. Someone living and working in New Jersey or New York should not be paid the same as somebody who's working in Florida or the Carolinas. The fact that that isn't on anybody's radar shows just how disconnected they are. While this review may sound like it is just sour grapes, I just want to make it perfectly clear that it is. You suck really hard and while I may be described as there isn't anything that I've said that you can argue at all as it is 100% factual and true and honest unlike the fake reviews you guys post all the time.
