Pros

I was able to own all of my customers, had personal relationships with them, was able to work freely in doing what I could to make the customer happy without any management gumming up the works. The pay was nice too, for a no-degree job, I was making $40k a year.

Cons

They cut our pay. Pay was dropped to between $30k to $35k for MORE work - more hours, more driving, essentially working for FREE for a month due to the pay cut. Worst yet, they made us become sales reps in the field - pushing grossly overpriced merchandise to our customers who were suppose be able to TRUST us. Anyone with a soul would not be able to sell a loyal customer an HDMI cable that cost $80 more than anything you could buy at the local electronic store - it was just unethical, and our pay was dependent on it.

Once you get the hang out it. It's a cash money machine

Cons

If you don't know how to sell and just there to press keyboards than there's no money

Pros

Easy job to obtain Some coworkers can be fun/easy to work with

Cons

Very little room to move up and provide little to training for new hires even though there is a position within the company titled “field trainer” you’ll never see them though. Being micromanaged throughout the whole day during the sales process and downtime. Pay never changes for the better, they add more metrics for you to hit but don’t pay anything for these metrics such as perks, reduced pay on VHI, CSGA, even things such as higher tier plans don’t pay as much anymore. Constantly changing your bonus structures, making it harder to obtain The profit “sharing” bonus is a joke as well they’ll pay you $0.04 on the dollar you earned last year but for the execs they’ll get the same plus a 2x multiplier even though they do nothing for the company.
