Pros
-Great benefit for desk jockeys. Depending on manager, PTO is easy to use. 3 weeks of PTO starting and 80 hours of accrued sick time. -IT has core business hours so many staff are able to make their own schedule around those hours. -Quiet work space -Work life balance for most people seems to be good -Parking garage and close proximity to other eating options -Takes employee feedback into consideration
Cons
-Old school mentality and constant political battles -Small Bonuses if you're not a tenured employee -Refusal of others to look beyond the "way we have always done it mentality" -Poor middle management and managers who do not have an interest in developing talent. TDS is widely regarded in the Madison area as being a stepping stone for good talent. People who aspire for more often go to TDS for a few years of experience and then move on. I can only speak for myself, but while the benefits are nice they certainly do not make up for poor management, messy systems, and countless other internal problems that seem like constant battles. My best advice to any applicant would be to seriously consider working here and have a vested interest in who your manager is. It is important to truly understand that who you work for makes a drastic difference in your experience, TDS is certainly is no exception.
