Pros

TDS has excellent benefits, 401K, and vacation/sick time. TDS has also paid for my continued education! They invest in their employees and their Managers. They want both to succeed. TDS does not make decisions in a hasty manner to be just another company in the telelcommmuncations business. They make decisions and investments they will do well for the future of the business and that is why they have been around for so long! This is why I have chosen to retire from here. If you are a great employee your opportunities will be great at TDS!

Cons

The only part I don't like is we can't get all the same services to all of our customers in all of the states that we cover. Sometimes this is a problem. This can also be a benefit because as a decision-maker you just can't always put all of your investments on the line to make 1 or 2 customers in a certain area happy and that is just business.

Pros

Competitive pay and an outstanding benefits package, including health insurance, a 401(k)-company match, tuition reimbursement, and generous paid holidays and sick leave.

Cons

Recent layoffs had a major impact on the Field Marketing department, leading to reduced resources and higher workloads.

Pros

- Great benefits - Great PTO/Sick time - Promote from within - Rigorous training schedule - Great on the job resources - Ability to work autonomously - Competent supervisors - Work from home - A fun job for people who love educating others on how things work and assisting them with technical issues

Cons

- Starting pay may be a little low for some people - Miscommunications about what departments handle what issues - Call center with varying amounts of calls per day (not necessarily a con) - Metrics for calls may be stressful for some
