Pros
- Good pay - Good benefits - Talented colleagues - Interesting work - Accelerated career path if you fall into diversity efforts - whether you deserve it or not
Cons
- While I applaud the efforts to diversify TE, the fact is that if you are a white male in the US, you have will have no opportunities for advancement. I currently know 6 colleagues who truly merit consideration for promotion but are not even being considered. TE would rather hire outside of the company than promote white males. People are starting to realize that it is better to leave the company. - Career mobility from corporate into the business units is near impossible these days. There is an unwarranted bias against hiring even talented corporate staff in business units or even segments (which ironically are also technically corporate).
