Pros
The Good: Enthusiastic people both on the technical and non-technical side. Snacks! Based on the ZFS file systems, reasonably full featured and adequate for SMB
Cons
The Bad: Middle management had serious gaps in their knowledge of their own product, and where flash offered advantages to their customers. That is ok. But they were reluctant to learn and actually got in the way of progress. If they encountered something new, rather than learn, they were hostile. These "new" things were actually industry standard knowledge and nothing really new. The Ugly: They fired a lot of people. Of course, some was legitimate. Others were not legitimate, and were in some cases done to cover mistakes of management. What was interesting was the continuing existence of a very disruptive individual (who was eventually let go) while they fired other people for far less. Marketing was expending a lot of efforts contacting unqualified prospects.
