      Pros

      Nice coworkers. Local management is by and large approachable.

      Cons

      Cloudy future with Nexstar’s acquisition of TEGNA tied up in the courts. And even then, worries over jobs cuts and consolidation in general. Also TEGNA made streaming and AI a big priority, not sure where that goes next.

      Flexible work environment - hybrid

      Cons

      Heavy workload, way below market compensation for the amount of responsibility, very limited advancement opportunities & uneven workload distribution among teams. In my experience, leadership made repeated statements about promotion opportunities in career growth that ultimately did not materialize. I felt that expectations were set that weren’t followed through on, which made it incredibly difficult to trust leadership. Transparency and follow through on career development could be significantly improved.
