Pros

Accepting workplace, at least when I worked there. I'm in the LGBT+ community, and I felt my pronouns and personhood was respected by my immediate colleagues. There were some slipups but it happens from time to time. My contributions felt appreciated by my coworkers in the newsroom and in my team. I went home every day feeling satisfied with my work and with my work friends.

Cons

The decision to hub marketing feels like a shot in the foot for local markets. So many local brands are going to be suffering for it. There's so many interworking parts that upper management may not be familiar with, but it'll make itself real apparent within the first week or months.

Pros

Flexible work environment - hybrid

Cons

Heavy workload, way below market compensation for the amount of responsibility, very limited advancement opportunities & uneven workload distribution among teams. In my experience, leadership made repeated statements about promotion opportunities in career growth that ultimately did not materialize. I felt that expectations were set that weren’t followed through on, which made it incredibly difficult to trust leadership. Transparency and follow through on career development could be significantly improved.
