Pros
Opportunity to grow. I started at an entry level position and have switch jobs internally a few times, so gotten to learn new skills. Get a good amount of PTO time to use. Most of the people you work with are good people.
Cons
New CEO is going on a chopping spree and likes to send out tone deaf emails. "Lean and mean," as he said. Laid off *entire* marketing department of every station for the whole company (going to hub them), some news staff, and directors are reportedly next. Who knows after that, but lots of employees are on edge. My understanding is stations weren't even aware this was coming until it was announced, too. Pretty much consolidating jobs/departments and looking for ways to replace people with automation/AI (he made it clear in his introductory meeting that he's really big into artificial intelligence). Consolidating means fewer people doing more work. Are we getting more pay? Probably not. Pay is not great, but never has been with any TV company I've worked for. Cost of living has gone through the roof, but pay has definitely not kept up. Know lots of people working a second job to pay the bills.
