Pros

It seems my experience with Tek Systems was above and beyond what some people get. I entered into a contract that they placed me in right out of college and have been working with them on and off when ever I needed work. They've always placed me quickly and my salary raised at a rate that I thought was appropriate although their seems to be a ceiling in the temporary support/technician area. The recruiter I worked with was always professional and even seemed to listen to where I wanted to head and moved me as best he could. The account rep that I almost exclusively worked with also did his best to keep me posted and find better jobs for me every time a contract would end. A company that I had worked for with TekSystems recently had an opening for a full time position, and even though they had a service agreement and I was currently under contract TekSystems caused 0 trouble when I moved over to that company. Paper work was always simple, and the support staff was excellent. Reimbursement for mileage and other expenses was always prompt and delivered correctly. TekSystems in Pittsburgh is worth working for if you are new or just need a job right now.

Cons

Zero benefis. Kept having to fill out direct deposit forms for every new contract. (minor annoyance)

Pros

good contract customer was expectin at least a year plus of working with a a company called microsoft. made good friends at the last job i did with them.

Cons

contract barely lasted 5 months for me, less for others. I felt used as a tax write off, They laid us off without notice. We had suspected it would happen again after the first time 300 people got let go. When it happened the first time we were surprised now the second time I got to be angry. They lack communication and knowing how to handle an overpopulated work place and proper protocol about laying people off. for some people who relocated and they have still not recieved pay and since their contract is over they may not even recieve it.
