Pros

They offer pre-job training where most other companies do not offer. Helps you maintain your job and happier customer for them.

Cons

They reduce significant amount of money from your pay if any training is needed (almost all go through training) no way to get that money back later. Small annual raises (only if client is still hiring more people, if stagnant on additional hires TEKsystems refuses to give increase). Your annual raise has no impact if you as an individual did well. No help with further formal educational. Education does not matter to them so don't waste your time thinking it matters to them. I received Master's last month and they told me that no pay raise will happen and no renegotiation will happen. They tell you that you meet over lunch with your recruiter 1x a month (at a minimum) because they care about you, your experience with them, and growing you as an individual. I have been with the company for over 2 years and I have only had 3 meetings. 2 of them which I requested. Their annual bonuses/awards are biased and given to their drinking buddies. Someone else will always take credit for your inventions and work if possible.

Pros

TEK always comes in clutch when you need something right away. Never had a bad Engagement Manager either

Cons

Not sufficient benefits for contracts, sometimes contracts are wishy-washy on 'End Date'

Pros

- Decent pay to start. - Account manager is responsive, engaging, and a serious advocate for you and your contract. - Gain access to Udemy Business to build more skills.

Cons

- The benefits suck. - High recruiter turnover with highly variable experience trying to work with them-- some are good, most are not. - Once you are placed, you will be promised regular meetings and then never hear from the recruiter again. - Trying to find a new contract if you are unhappy with your current placement is nearly impossible and I don't believe they are incentivized to help you move at all. - You have to manually request a raise and depending on how you negotiated your contract, you may or may not have the ability to receive one. - There is a cap to how much they will pay you for the contract so even if you work that position 4 years, once you hit that cap you are stuck. I originally submitted my resume with TekSystems when I had finished my degree and never heard back. Many years later, I was approached on LinkedIn by a TekSystems recruiter for a position and he had no idea I was in the system previously. Working with him was good, and I did get the position. Then I never heard from him again and I've had 4 or 5 different recruiters whose names I could not tell you if I tried since then. There's supposed to be monthly calls, they never happen.
