Pros
You have the opportunity to make good money...
Cons
You only can succeed if you play the game and suck up to people with power. Does not matter if you find the best talent, account managers will gate-keep roles for their friends. Sometimes roles would not even be put in the system until a friend of the account manager already identified 3 solid candidates that were submitted to hiring managers and selected to interview. This keeps amazing talent away from the opportunity to work for some amazing companies and it is absolutely poor business. People who joined in the past 5ish years are treated as beneath everyone else. Rules don't apply for some and are exponentially rigid for others in the exact same role, depending on who your "lead" is. I use the term "lead" loosely because they really provide nothing to the people they are "leading". It seems like a title given to those who have been there a while and want to feel like they have growth. Leads are a useless role at the company. They waste literally hours of your time with completely pointless meetings to check in daily on what you are doing minute to minute. Ask for a new lead that might fit you better and they blatantly ignore you. They expect you to come in early for meetings before working hours and still stay late, on a daily basis.
