Pros

Work/Life balance -- they allow you to maintain a family/personal life very easily, which work doesn't interfere with. Colleagues are fun in and out of work. Hours are acceptable. Free cell phone. Occasionally pursues interesting initiatives that sometimes lead to interesting work opportunities in the community or with other firms. They allow time off when needed.

Cons

Senior management thought leadership is lacking. Not given the resources to complete the job, and constantly questioned when you do spend. Recognition is scarce, and often overlooked. No perks like at other high-tech firms - no gym, no free food, no free drinks, etc. The quality of the employees are not top-notch. Is a "you-scratch-my-back-I/'ll-scratch-yours" culture. YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR PARKING (and it's in the suburbs of Toronto, not in the downtown city center, and it's NOT subsidized)! Un-freakin-believable. Raises are ridiculously low -- below inflation.
