      Pros

      TIAA-CREF puts the needs of its clients first. The firm- a retirement leader- promotes the importance of retirement income to ensure a secure retirement. Advisors have a deep committment to the client and are not commissioned-based. Employees receive salaries not basis points on the products they sell. They are truly objective!

      Cons

      TIAA-CREF is not well-know outside its core client base of non-profit retirement providers. Its very unfortunate since its products, services and people offer a unique service model.

      Great work life balance, good benefits, decent pay, ease of running your own practice as an “advisor”, and healthy work environment

      Cons

      Management styles can vary and affect your experience, upper management doesn’t seem to be well equipped to ensure the organization’s success but it is resilient nonetheless.
