Pros

Lots of decisions and empowerment to run your store. Great overall salary and bonus potential. You are not forced to move and relocate unlike other companies I worked in the past for. In stores with 4 or more members of staff the rotation is great for retail for night and weekends.

Cons

Upper management not seeing the challenges of running store. Lack of payroll initially and they slowly roll out more. PT staff to have only 16 hours or less. Health costs that management has to cover for the company continues to soar. They switch prescriptions companies from Caremark to Express Scripts. Express Scripts is terrible they decide not your doctor what's ok.

Pros

-flexible and accomodating hours - good partime job for college student - very neutral experience, but the fact that it wasn't terrible makes it a pro -10% employee discount

Cons

-lower pay than other retail places ($12 when I was there) - general cons that just come with retail (rude customers, boring tasks, etc.) - store is constantly being rearranged, and is also disorganized on purpose so customers have to search through/look at more things to find what they are looking for -CONSTANTLY having to push the TJ Maxx credit card and having managers literally walk by to make sure you are - can't wear t-shirts or any graphic tees including ones in the store (which always bothered me because if they can sell it I should be able to wear it)
