Pros

Great team members, great end goal

Cons

The management team at TORC is a complete disaster and has been for the past several years. If your not one of the people that is licking their boots, it doesn't matter who you are or what you do they will treat you like dirt and get rid of you at the first opportunity. I was in the engineering department for more than 7 years and was let go due to "lack of work for my position" and not given the opportunity to move somewhere else in the company (despite the large amount of institutionally knowledge) simply because I previously worked for a manager that my current manager didn't like.

Pros

Working at Torc has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. The technology we're building is genuinely world-changing — autonomous trucking has the potential to transform how goods move across the country, and being part of that mission makes the work feel meaningful every single day. The pace is fast, which keeps things engaging. There's always something new to tackle, and the environment pushes you to grow quickly. If you thrive on momentum and like seeing your contributions matter, you'll feel right at home here. One thing that stands out is the flexibility around work hours. It's clear that leadership trusts employees to get the job done without micromanaging when or how you do it. That kind of autonomy makes a real difference for work-life balance.

Cons

The fast pace isn't for everyone — be ready to hit the ground running
