Pros

Had some good co-workers,a lot of us had great careers before the depression and were forced into this greed driven, your just another number environment to feed our families. The health insurance is good if you need it for your family, and it's a fairly clean environment. Liked being associated with MetLife and their staff as they were always friendly and professional when visiting the operation. They were the client we were selling Life Insurance for as captive agents.through TZ Insurance Solutions.

Cons

Only a chosen few on the sales staff are given the opportunity to make a decent living wage. They are fed leads from all sources, had three to four times the monthly sales as the rest of the staff and won all contests and prizes offered by the company during promotions. It was degrading, depressing and killed the morale on the sales floor. The computer platforms and sales application process changed constantly until it took so long to take an application over the phone it became unbearable, really.

Pros

Good pay, supportive coworkers, and opportunities to grow and learn in the insurance field. Some leaders are very encouraging and helpful, The job teaches strong communication and problem solving skills, especially handling customers over the phone.

Cons

The work can be mentally draining at times due to difficult customer interactions throughout the day. Leadership styles can vary a lot depending on the team or manager, so adapting to constant changes and different expectations can sometimes be stressful. There are also frequent changes within teams and processes.

Pros

There's money to be made, not outside of AEP/OEP much. they train you well and most of the managers are flexible and caring.

Cons

Only certain programs are worth it there I was in their Aetna direct program first and that was good, leads knew who they were talking to, what to expect etc. However their programs outside of direct ones are bad, they trick people into calling in with the promise of a grocery card that does not exist. The most vulnerable community who needs the most help, made me feel like I was a scammer. Or they thought they were calling the carrier or Medicare themselves.
