There is very little training or support for new employees. If you aren’t on a prized project you’ll end up working on that project by yourself even if you should have multiple engineers/resources to support you. The transmission group does some continuing education but it is inconsistent and always online which makes it hard to follow and actually learn from. The management of the group is a lot like the guy in the book “The Ideal Team Player” that they debate on hiring and determine he just wouldn’t fit in because he doesn’t treat those below him very well. I have noticed a huge lack of diversity in the management and employees in general so that doesn’t seem to be a priority for them.
