Pros
Easy work. Usually only involves either visual inspection of parts or using basic tools (small guages, flashlights, etc) Good supervisors. Everyone is human and has bad days or slip ups. Even management. But these are good people that are understanding. The higher ups can be fairly demanding of the supervisors but you never see/speak to them. Opportunity to travel. I worked my butt off and after 1 month of working I was given the opportunity to work in California for nearly a month. Rental car. Check. My own hotel room. Check. Gas and laundry were reimbursed through receipts. We even got per diem! Appreciation and being noticed. This is the ONLY place I have worked where I felt my hard work and diligence has been truly appreciated and noticed. I've been here for only 3 months, yet they make sure I know how well I am doing. With hints dropped of opportunities soon to progress within the company. They truly appreciate good work ethic and show they want to keep you around.
Cons
Boring/tedious. If you don't like standing around time or being bored, don't go to ZF in gray court. Ask to be somewhere more busy. 6 of my 8 hour shift is waiting for parts to be brought so I can inspect them. Third party. Because Trigo is an outside quality inspection service for ZF, you get bad looks from the teams leads on the floor for staying at your post. 6 of the 8 hours I stand at my location with nothing to do. I used to read books but I was getting lots of looks, so now I just stand there. It can make you feel bad because you want to work, but there is none. So all you can do is stand there waiting at your post until parts get dropped off. So you're doing what you're supposed to, but the look at you like you're lazy or not doing your job. Had multiple ZF supervisors call my boss asking to check my work because it looks like I'm not doing anything. This is NOT a problem with TRIGO. It's a issue with the business we work in that cannot be helped. If you stand around people just assume you're not working.
