Pros

Good salary range and good insurance

Cons

Next to no work life balance, except to work 50-60 hours a week with no overtime. TSMC is about obedience, if you are good at being told what to do with little to no actual thought going into your job TSMC is perfect for you. If you want to perform real engineering projects, TSMC is not a good fit. Be prepared to work there for years to prove you are loyal to company before they give you any real work. The training program in Taiwan is non existent, you will just show up to work and be asked to sit there for 10 hours and then pressured by your bosses to accomplish tasks that they will never train you how to do. it is a very frustrating work environment where all the departments are fending for themselves and trying to blame others for problems or mistakes. overall TSMC is a very poorly run company that takes little to no responsibility for its actions and over works their employees.

Pros

Nothing to note of pros except for 2.5x pay on holidays.

Cons

Horrible work culture, 13 hour shifts (they said it would be 12 but it varies on department), training lacks depth and true mentorship. Employees with higher seniority can say anything they want (like curse in your face and say serious insults about your ability while taking no accountability for their training). If you work OT they hate it and will get on you for it. If you leave the workplace because your shift is over but other technicians are still working on tools— you are expected to stay even if it drives you into OT. Everything about their structure is set up for a lose-lose situation. Many other cons.
