Pros

Quality Company, Fabulous customer service policy, beautiful retail store, employee discount, this company will stand the test of time they can hold their own against any other clothing retail company. Brand is easy to recognize and stands for quality. Policy is throughout their stores, you can expect the same at all Talbots locations.

Cons

For me it is the lack of consistent schedule. NO regard for my need to have a consistent schedule. Fly by the seat of their pants is more the norm. One week 8 hours, next week 39.........or the phone call that says, hey the schedule has changed can you come in Now? and work . Try and make a hair appointment or Doctor visit.......and oh by the way those personal/sick days? You really don't get to use those.

None. This company is garbage compared to how it used to be.

Cons

Slave wages, not enough hours for anyone except management because the private equity company that owns us has cut our staff to a skeleton crew even on busy days. Management and associate alike are stretched super thin to the point of exhaustion. Even as a sales associate, there was a time I supported myself on a Talbots salary. Now I have to choose between paying my car insurance or getting an oil change. I used to get 30+ hours a week even as a sales associate. Now I'm lucky if I get 20. Health benefits are a rip-off. The company in my observation has had a time finding and maintaining good workers. If you value your livelihood, run fast and run far.
