Talbots is a different kind of retail - Client Specialist Talbots Employee Review

I love working at Talbots. It's always been my favorite clothing store and I've been shopping there since forever. So I know and understand the Talbots customer. Last April I applied for a job there and started working at the Upper Montclair, NJ, location in May. It's been an outstanding employment experience. Jenn, the manager, and Priscilla, the assistant manager, are lovely people. There is a sense of humor and warmth and the entire store pulls together, as a team. People are considerate to each other. There is no sniping. We help each other out. When there's a problem or a mistake on someone's part, the response from the managers is always--and I mean always--a respectful explanation of what went wrong and how to fix it or make sure it doesn't happen again. The customers notice this and it adds tremendously to the level of comfort and enjoyment they experience when shopping at Talbots. We also get a number of much older customers, and they appreciate the sincere and genuine care and attention we show them. I also feel that our management team and keyholders and my fellow associates are unflappable and calm, even when things get super busy, like on Black Friday. I admire them as well as like them. Going to work every day is a pleasure, and as far as I am concerned, it all flies by too fast!
