Pros
Co-workers are nice, most customers are regulars and you can get to know them. Good discount. The clothes are pretty nice, if repetitive.
Cons
Constant, constant, constant pressure to sell credit cards. They say the focus is on HER (the customer). Really, the focus is on bullying HER to open a credit card. Constant unnecessary tasking, completely unrealistic expectations on workload. Stores get a completely redone Floor Set monthly, and upper management basically expects you to do it without spending payroll. All upper management wants is constant smiling, constant agreeing and an #iamtalbots on your social media page. Never heard of Glassdoor until my DM told all of us to come on here to give Talbots a rave review, so that it would make the company look good. Constant turnover of managers. If you work there, do NOT give honest feedback on anything. Nod and smile, or face the consequences.
