Pros
-The people at the entry level & mid-level management are truly some of the best people I have had the pleasure of working with. -The product is going to be industry-leading once the full stack is developed and out of "vaporware" stage.
Cons
If you're in sales you will face unreasonable quotas, inflated pipeline, and get caught in the crossfire of a constant knife fight between leadership and executives. Your RVP may be advocating for you, but they really have no control or impact whatsoever. No one is even close to sniffing quota In a general sense, the company is losing people left and right and morale is at an all time low. Years of promises of promotions, raises, and bonuses have gone unanswered. COVID has been a convenient excuse for executives to skip review cycles and delay increases. Even before COVID a large amount of employees did not receive their annual bonuses despite signing bonus plans. Senior leadership is very clique-like and the pursuit of personal glory & fame has overtaken basic managerial principles. Pressure from above cascades onto employees which often results in overworking, long hours, weekend deployments, and constant escalations. The general sentiment I've seen and heard from leaders when their employees ask about raises/promotions is, "They should be grateful to have a job with everything going on now".
