Pros

Collaborative Culture (up to VP level): The people at Talkdesk—especially those up to the VP level—are genuinely supportive and quick to offer help. There’s a strong sense of camaraderie and willingness to go the extra mile. People Team with Heart: Despite being constrained by executive leadership, the People team is passionate about building a strong company culture and truly believes in doing the right thing. Top-Tier Product: Talkdesk offers one of the strongest, most competitive products in the market. The tech stack is modern, and the roadmap often outpaces the competition. Agile Product Organization: The Product team is fast-moving, focused, and intentional. They prioritize high-impact features that matter to customers and the market. Strong Industry Positioning: The company has solid brand recognition and market presence, which opens doors and generates interest across industries.

Cons

Lack of Stability from CEO: The CEO, Tiago Paiva, frequently initiates major changes that rarely have time to take root. This constant shift in direction leads to confusion and inefficiency. Excessive Turnover in Sales Leadership: Over a three-year period, the Americas sales org cycled through six different sales leaders, creating disruption and lack of continuity. Unethical Sales Leadership: The current head of sales and their direct leadership demonstrates troubling ethical behavior, often contradicting public statements with private actions. Examples include disclosing confidential HR matters to leaders outside the appropriate chain of command and driving decisions that erode trust. High Churn + Long Sales Cycle = Missed Quota: Continuous layoffs and attrition, combined with an inherently long sales cycle, make it difficult for reps to gain momentum or close deals consistently. Toxic Regime Changes: Leadership overhauls happen twice a year, often involving mass turnover and little to no investment in employee development. This disrupts progress and fosters a culture of fear and short-term thinking. Ongoing Executive Vacancies: There’s a revolving door at the senior leadership level. As of now, there’s no Chief Revenue Officer, SVP of Finance, or Head of Product, creating strategic gaps and a lack of direction in key areas of the business.

Pros

-The AI-First Mission is Real- We aren’t just talking about artificial intelligence; we are actively executing an AI-first transformation across our entire product and internal operating models. It’s an incredibly exciting, fast-paced space for anyone looking to build the future of enterprise software. -What makes this company truly special is our foundation: we have a deep, proven contact center history, but we’ve successfully paired that legacy with the right product architecture and the right people to dominate the AI future. It feels like today we have the right people on board to execute. - Innovative mindset- We don't have everything figured out today. Employees are encouraged to think outside of the box and move fast to try new things and surface solutions.

Cons

-High-Pressure, Agile Environment: Because we scale on consumption and automation rather than simple headcount, the bar for talent density here is exceptionally high. Things move FAST. If you prefer a slow, highly structured, or static environment, this level of rapid iteration might feel overwhelming - TD doesn't have everything figured out. You have to be OK building as you go, and not always having clear direction.
