Pros

Work from home/flexible schedule After being with the company for a few years my schedule is busy and I am satisfied with my compensation I have wonderful Patient Care Coordinators to assist with administrative tasks They are ACGME accredited which is HUGE in my book. This also means CME credit for educational activities My chief is supportive and very available to me when I have questions They do focus on improving the company culture and employee wellness Patient population is comprised mainly of young students, employed professionals or Medicare patients, very rewarding to treat Great IT support Streamlined processes for things such as transferring and discharging patients

Cons

The billing department seems to be a work in progress, however I think patients sometimes blame Talkiatry for things such as insurance plan deductibles which is out of our control

Pros

The work is straightforward. The clients are mostly reasonable. I prescribe a lot of stimulants in states where I can prescribe them. The electronic medical record and the resources contained within make it easy enough to do it. A good job at this. They offer the use of an AI scribe to help with documentation. You can be involved as much or as little as you want to in activities beyond direct patient care. Talkiatry chooses to make its money through the use of the psychotherapy add-on code. You're incentivized to spend time talking with your patients, which seems like a win for everyone.

Cons

Figuring out how the performance portion of the pay structure works is challenging and takes several months. You also take a significant hit in taxes because of the the back that the performance portion of your salary is paid as a bonus which is taxed at 30%. This is higher than the base pay tax rate. I'm hopeful that I'll see the significant tax return next April.

Pros

The work is manageable. There's no unreasonable metrics, and the pay is just right for the role.

Cons

Maybe some of the managers who'd like to impress the bosses like you know what I mean.
